Chloe Geil
Hi! My name is Chloe Geil! I am a local music artist in the northwest area of Houston, Texas. It all started when I was 16 years old, recording and producing music from the floor of my closet. From there, everything changed. I had been writing songs for many years prior, but I never tried recording them until--you guessed it--2020. All of a sudden, I found myself with a copious amount of free time on my hands. I released my first single, "I Miss You," on May 6, 2020. I wrote the song about being separated from my friends for months, going into my senior year of high school, and honestly feeling lost. I continued to write and work on music and released my next single, "I Wanted Never to Go Away," on October 17, 2021. This was in honor of graduating high school, moving to college away from friends and family, and struggling with the unknown of what that transition would look like. I released my first album, "A Love Song to Those Long Gone," on January 1, 2022. This album was inspired by all of the change and growth I had experienced in life, emphasizing the dichotomy of change--how it is both necessary and painful at the same time. I released my single, "Call Me Back," on December 1, 2022. I released "poseidon" on August 21, 2023. This is a song of a friend pleading for their best friend to find love and confidence in themself. Most recently, I released "Something New" on November 28, 2023--an emotional song full of heartbreak and betrayal.
As a college student and young adult, maintaining a music career is not always easy. However, I try my best in the ways that I can. I want to learn and grow, but ultimately I want to impact others. My goal as a musician is to love people through my music by making people feel less alone, helping them feel understood, or doing whatever else I can do through a melody. So, I try writing music that people can relate to or resonate with. Music is such a powerful tool, so that's all I want to do--love and inspire people through a song.
